Acquiring better loot plays a crucial role in your progression within Diablo 2: Resurrected. However, many items you come across in the game will initially remain unidentified, rendering them virtually useless until you perform an appraisal that reveals their potential prefixes and/or suffixes. While magical items may offer a limited set of stat bonuses or perks, Rare, Unique, and D2R Set items can potentially offer a plethora of advantages. So, the question arises: How exactly can you identify items in Diablo 2: Resurrected?
Identifying D2R Items
In Diablo 2: Resurrected, you have two primary methods for identifying items. The first option involves visiting Deckard Cain, who can typically be found at the center of the town in each act. However, it's important to note that he isn't immediately available when you start the game. To enlist his identification services, you must first rescue him in Tristram. This requires a journey to the Dark Wood, where you'll retrieve the Scroll of Inifuss, followed by having it translated by Akara. Afterward, head to the Stony Field and locate the Cairn Stones, using the Scroll of Inifuss from your inventory to unveil the sequence in which you should activate the stones, thereby opening a portal to Tristram.
